Technical Director will lead technical communication with stakeholders in Poland for our micro power plant projects. This role will be responsible for effectively communicating all technical aspects of our projects to regulators, customers, and local engineering firms. In this role, you can be based in the UK and travel to Poland when required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical communicator to key stakeholders in Poland including the electricity regulator, nuclear regulator, environmental regulators, customers, and local engineers
Work with members of the development and licensing teams to ensure alignment on stakeholder engagement strategy and messaging
Communicate with the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) concerning the company's regulatory submissions and the radiologic aspects of the company's technology with close coordination with the engineering team
Act as an environmental technical authority and be able to represent the project at appropriate internal technical and project reviews and at external meetings with the General Directorate for Environmental Protection (GDOŚ) and other stakeholders
Engage with the electricity regulator and local authorities on site-specific technical requirements for the project
Respond to customer inquiries relating to the technical aspects of project developments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with business objectives, meet regulatory requirements, and comply with relevant codes and standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and government officials
Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, and complies with all relevant regulations and standards
Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues through effective strategies and actions
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in engineering, project management, or a related field (advanced degree in nuclear engineering preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, or a related field, preferably with a focus on energy projects
Experience working with regulatory bodies and government officials to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Strong understanding of the nuclear energy market, including regulations, codes, and standards related to SMRs
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
Ability to travel as required
Fluent in Polish and English
