QA/QC Technician Solar, 12 Month Contract - Based in Ireland

Mint Selection is partnered with a leading turnkey EPC contractor who are seeking an experienced QA/QC Technician to support the delivery of a utility-scale Solar project in Ireland.

As a QA/QC Technician at the PV plant, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Inspections: Perform inspections on PV modules, inverters, trenches, PV structures and other system components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Identify Defects: Detect and document any defects or inconsistencies in PV components and systems, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve these issues.

  • Implement Quality Standards: Assist in developing and implementing quality control processes and standards specific to PV plant operations.

  • Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance system performance and reliability.

  • Training: Train plant staff on quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a culture of quality.

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on quality control activities, findings, and any issues encountered.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Technician, preferably in the renewable energy sector or utility-scale PV plants.

  • Strong understanding of PV systems, quality control standards, and testing procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in quality assurance, electrical engineering, or a related field are a plus.

  • **Must be willing to be on site 5 days a week**
