Senior Project Development Manager – Solar PV, Onshore Wind, BESS
Are you a Project Developer based in Scotland with experience driving projects through planning to shovel-ready status?
We are partnered with a Renewable Energy Developer who, following an acquisition by a leading global Clean Energy IPP, is currently in hyper-growth mode. The company specialise in Solar PV, Onshore Wind and BESS projects, taking them from site origination through to shovel-ready status. They currently have ~3GWs in their pipeline spread across 20 projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end development of renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, BESS) from site identification through to securing planning and environmental consents.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring all milestones are met to achieve shovel-ready status.
Coordinate with internal teams (grid, legal, land, and planning) and external consultants (environmental, engineering, etc.).
Requirements:
Proven experience (5+ years) in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in the UK.
Track record in successfully securing planning permissions and consents, particularly for projects over 50MW.
Knowledge of Scottish planning systems (TCPA, Section 36) and the associated regulatory landscape.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
