Job Title: Senior Authorised Person (SAP) up to 132kV
Location: Southampton, UK
Mint Selection are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with authorisation up to 132kV to oversee a Circuit Breaker replacement project in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing high-voltage electrical operations, with SSEN authorisation being highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe replacement of 132kV Circuit Breakers, ensuring all work is performed to the highest safety standards.
Perform HV switching, isolations, and issuance of safety documentation in line with SSEN procedures.
Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and industry regulations.
Coordinate with other project teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical components.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager, addressing any risks or issues promptly.
Qualifications:
SAP authorisation up to 132kV (SSEN authorisation preferred).
5+ years of experience in high-voltage electrical projects.
SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS accreditation.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and switching procedures.
This role will be an initial 12-month contract with a high probability of extension, and it is also Outside IR35.
