Portfolio Manager – International Energy Investment Platform
Location: London
Mint Selection is partnered with an established and ambitious international renewable energy investment platform that directly invests in both energy assets and infrastructure as well as renewable energy companies.
They are seeking a motivated and experienced Portfolio Manager responsible for the commercial management of their energy portfolio consisting of a range of assets and generation types.
As well as securing new revenue generation opportunities, managing the risk exposure and optimisation of current agreements and commercial structures you will also collaborate with the investment team to advise on route-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Portfolio Management – Reviewing portfolio and exposure and continuing to develop and implement asset optimisation, hedging and risk management strategies and long-term opportunities
· Route-to-Market assessment – Leading on route-to-market strategies for early-stage development projects, supporting new investment strategies and leading on management of revenue streams from off-take agreements
· Origination and Market Engagement – Support business development teams in the origination of new opportunities, maintain strong relationships with providers and identify opportunities for new PPA agreements
· Strategy – Support in the analysis and assessment of new generation and storage technology and market changes and collaborate with Seniors on long-term PPA/offtake strategy
· Implementation and Reporting – Report on risk management strategies and initiatives, implementation and execution of strategies and continuous optimisation and risk management
Skills & Qualifications:
· Demonstrable experience in the management of PPA’s, Offtake agreements and wholesale market risk in the power markets
· Strong experience with merchant risk for renewable assets
· Deep experience with power markets, able to identify opportunities, risks and long-term factors
· Excellent communication ability, able to influence across all levels of seniority
· Exposure to structuring and origination of new offtake agreements
· Financial modelling ability would be preferable
