Role - Mechanical Supervisor
Location - Tilbury, Essex
Mint Selection are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for a 12-month contract to oversee mechanical work on a Gas Peaking Project. The role involves ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining safety standards, and meeting project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Manage and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and uphold safety protocols.
Review technical designs and provide practical solutions to mechanical challenges.
Maintain quality control and project documentation.
Qualifications:
SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
5+ years’ experience in mechanical supervision, must come from a similar background (Energy, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Petrochem)
Strong knowledge of gas turbines, piping, and relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
This is an initial 12-month contract role, outside IR35, with a strong potential for extension.
