After submitting a proposal, UBS requested us to deliver:

  • A Market Map of companies that operate or have interests in the transport decarbonisation industry globally, with specific focus on Europe, APAC and North America.

    A People Map showing those employed in the transport decarbonisation industry (that builds on the Company Map).

  • A shortlist of top candidates that are employed or have interests in the transport decarbonisation industry.

  • A list of projects, deals and joint ventures that have happened in the transport decarbonisation industry.

In order to achieve this within the agreed timeframe of 30 days, our Market Research team created a Gant Chart and outlined how we planned to divide these deliverables into stages:

Stage 1 – Global OEMs

Company Map and People Map of Global OEMs that operate in the transport decarbonisation industry with a particular focus on surface transportation and low carbon fuelling (including refuelling infrastructure).

Global OEMs are the most public-facing centre of transport decarbonisation, by mapping all the global OEMs of interest, we see the companies, people and projects that are directly relevant to transport decarbonisation.

Stage 2 – EU

From the list of global OEMs and our previous mapping work, we can map investors, owners’, operators and supporting companies that have publicly partnered with OEMs on projects or deals. We then repeat the process with an asset owner and map the publicly partnered companies etc.

Stage 3 – APAC

We repeat the process in APAC with a focus on Singapore while being considerate of the mapping limitations in mainland China.

Stage 4 – North America

We repeat the process with North America.

Stage 5 – Finalising

We finalise the database and filter out companies we think are not relevant.
