Senior Project Development Manager – Onshore Wind

We are partnered with a dynamic renewable energy company that develops, constructs, and operates a range of assets including Solar and wind projects. Within their portfolio, they currently operate over 1GW of assets and are in hyper-growth mode with ambition to grow this to over 2GW by the end of 2025. They are seeking an experienced Developer to take full ownership of the development activities for new wind farms in Scotland
Responsibilities:
Drive onshore wind projects from feasibility through to construction, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
Manage all permitting processes, including EIAs and planning applications, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Build strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals.
Prepare projects for a smooth handoff to construction teams by finalizing all necessary permits and agreements.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role related to the development/delivery of onshore wind projects in Scotland.
Strong knowledge of the connection process for new generation projects to the distribution and transmission networks.
Commercial mindset and desire to learn.
Willingness to travel when and as required including to the head office
